10 Amazing Features on W3School for Developers

Hello buddy ๐Ÿ‘‹, do you know of a website where 99.99% of developers visit to learn how to code, and which they still refer to when they finally got a job?

This website I am talking about is a time and energy-saver for every Junior and Senior developer looking for programming knowledge.

So what's this website I am talking about?

If you're a developer, you should already know the website I am talking about and if you do not know, get ready as I am about to tell you.

It's the W3Schools ๐Ÿ†.

Yes, w3schools.com is the website I am talking about, they provide resources and educational contents that are capable of guiding anyone with zero coding knowledge into an employable software developer.

Little Background:

W3Schools is an online free coding school created in 1998 by Refsnes Data with the goal of simplifying and making the experience of learning how to code a lot easier for anyone, everywhere.

Testimony

Let me give you a reason to continue reading this blog post, below is a screenshot of a testimony shared by one of the w3schools users, who found a job after studying HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Node.js from w3schools for free.

Now that you've learned a little about W3schools and have seen testimony of what you can achieve through their platform, let's explore the values they provide to the developer community.

1. You can learn for free with W3schools

W3Schools is, and will always be a completely free developer resource, they offer multiple programming tutorials to all levels of programmers in languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Java, Kotlin, C#, Go, and many more.

2. Get code reference

If you usually forget the basic syntax of the programming language that you use? It is fine ๐Ÿค—; I do too, w3school probably realized this and provides an easy reference to all the coding concepts you may need for your day-to-day coding activities.

For example, you can get a Full reference to all HTML tags or a Full reference to all the JavaScript array methods with a little description of what they do and how to apply them.

Below is a screenshot of the programming references offered by W3Schools ๐Ÿ‘‡

3. Get practical with exercises

Get your hands dirty with a variety of exercises (with answers) compiled by w3schools for each of the programming tutorials, you can try to solve an exercise by editing some code, get a "hint" if you're stuck, or view the answer to see what you've done wrong. Isn't this super cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž, you can check it out here?

4. Validate your coding skills with Quizzes

you can sharpen your coding skills with w3schools' quizzes, each quiz contains 25-40 questions, and you get 1 point score for each correct answer, and at the end of each quiz, you get your quiz result. The correct answers are displayed at the end of the quiz.

What good is a school without a certificate?๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ w3schools will present you with a certificate of completion after you've completed any of their courses, which you can add to your portfolio and highlight on your resume for job hunting.
